Litecoin timechain / An original LTC learning tool
Time flies.
Blocks stay.
A playful way to see Litecoin’s rhythm. Follow the blocks, explore the halvings and take a little trip through the rules.

The block playground
Wind the clock.
See what changes.
At this height, the next halving boundary is block 3,360,000.
After the subsidy reaches zero, later 840,000-block boundaries no longer reduce issuance. The playground shows scheduled subsidy, not proof that a miner claimed it.
The rules beneath the illustration
Four little numbers.
A long-running story.
A target of 150 seconds per block. A subsidy interval of 840,000 blocks. A difficulty adjustment every 2,016 blocks. A nominal supply ceiling commonly expressed as 84 million LTC.
The target implies 576 blocks per 24 hours and 24 blocks per hour. Actual production varies. The tiles are a playful target-day clockface, not a record of blocks mined today.
The subsidy staircase
Less new issuance.
The chain continues.
Epochs begin at heights 0,840,000,1,680,000,2,520,000 and3,360,000. Subsidies follow integer base-unit halving; the illustration does not include fees.
Calendar dates are estimates. Block heights are the rule.
When is the next halving?
From the saved checkpoint, 164,336 blocks at a constant 150-second target projects to approximately 2027-07-28 UTC. This is simple target-time arithmetic, not a promised date or a forecast based on recent hashrate. The estimate stays anchored to this checkpoint when you use the playground.
